Sautéed chicken w/steamed veggies, quinoa & brown rice

Happy Mother's Day! May you all be showered with love and appreciation for all you do. 💐💓 Thankful to spend time with my Mom yesterday and grateful that God keeps her healthy. ❤ (Make time for your Mom no matter how busy life is. She's the reason you have life and time slips away quicker than we'd care to admit.) Make a memory! You'll never regret the memories you've made.

Today is Food Prep Sunday in my household. Our his and hers lunch bowls are completely different based on our body types and personal preferences. Here's a simple idea for his. Keep it simple and balanced! 👌🏼😋👩🏻‍🍳

Ingredients:

*1 pkg. of organic, turkey breast steaks (I used Plainville Farms and it had 4 in the package.)

*about 1 Tbsp. of avocado oil

*Wow-a-chihuahua seasoning & Himalayan pink salt to taste

*1 bag of Path of Life Organic Quinoa & Brown Rice

*1 bag of Cascadian Farm frozen Organic California-Style blend veggies

Directions for pan seared turkey breast steaks:

1) In a medium skillet on medium heat, add about a tablespoon of coconut oil.

2) Add the turkey breast steaks and season with a few turns of Himalayan pink salt and a few dashes of Wow-a-chihuahua seasoning.

3) Pan sear for about 5-6 minutes on each side. (The outside should be evenly brown and inside fully cooked.)

4) After flipping, add a few dashes of Wow-a-chihuahua seasoning.

5) Remove from heat and let it rest.

*Both the Quinoa & Brown Rice mix and the veggies can either be steamed or microwaved.

Servings: 4 turkey breasts steaks. (Double up on the quinoa & brown rice mix and veggies for a complete 4 servings.)

This is what my husband eats. However for myself, I use the 21 Day fix portion control containers to measure out my servings. )
